Marianne Alto is a Canadian politician, Businesswoman and a lawyer who is well known for her community advocacy and facilitation. She has been in the service of community advocacy and facilitation in Victoria, Canada for over 20 years of his life.
Aside from that, Marianne is also popularly known as the current Mayor-elect and councilor of Victoria City of Canada.
As at the time of writing this article in 2023, Marianne was 53 years old and she was born in the year 1970.
She was known to be an active member of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, and a long-time host-parent for international students at Lester Pearson College. She is also the owner and principal in Azimuth Research and Consulting, a firm specializing in outcome-based organizational change, facilitation, strategic planning, project management and research for over 25 years.
Marianne on the other hand is also a LBGTQ community right activist and member.

Career
Marianne Alto has always been a community advocate and facilitator in her Young age. She started taking her career as an advocate very seriously in the year 1988 after she graduated from law school in dalhousie.
As a community advocate and facilitator she was an active Council liaison and leader of the many communities and organizations that boost the positive wellness and quality of life of the people and its community. And she uses her Experience to make sure that there is always a social inclusion of the people in decision making for the betterment of the community.
She was the all time director of Leadership Council of the Greater Victoria Coalition to End Homelessnes.
In 1992 Marianne Alto started serving as the overall senior assistant to the health minister and also a senior analyst in the office of the premiere and she stopped in 1996.
She is also the Director of the Oakland community association, an association whose goal is to improve the quality of life in the Oaklands neighborhood by increasing social inclusion, making recreation affordable and accessible, and creating a lively neighborhood.

Sundance Elementary PAC; their aim here is to prepare every student for a successful future as a responsible citizen who actively contributes to society, the community and the workforce.

Throughout Marianne’s career as a facilitator and advocate she never overlooked the importance of the female gender. So, she served as the Coordinator and director of Victoria Status of Women, the city’s only broad-based center providing educational, advocacy, and support services for women.
In 2010, Marianne was first elected in a by-election to Victoria city council. By 2011 she was elected as the Capital Regional District Board where she worked until 2018.
In 2022 she indicated interest to run for the seat of mayor where she contested against her Challenger Stephen Andrew who was also interested in the position of mayor seat. She defeated Stephen Andrew with a gap of over 5,000 votes making her the present Mayor-elect of Victoria, replacing Lisa who was formerly the Mayor-elect of Victoria.
She is also currently the city council liaison.

Marianne has been a woman who is known to live and maintain a low profile life. She doesn’t like showing off any flamboyant lifestyle in the media. She is also the kind of woman that does not use make-up on her face.
Activist
Marianne has been a very loyal and committed activist with a strong hold whose activism has to do with defending the LBGTQ community and its members over people’s mindset towards them. She is also a proud member of this community and a lesbian.

How can Marianne Alto be 52 when she was born in 1979? An obvious arithmetic error. If she is 52 she would have been born in 1969. If she was born in 1979 she would be only 42. I believe she looks 52 so I think she was born in 1969, not 1979.
