Ben Chan is an Asian-American professor of philosophy based in the United States. He is the Assistant professor of philosophy at St. Norbert College in De Pere, working at the college since 2013. He was a one-time Uihlein Fellow of Ethics at Lawrence University in Appleton.
Chan was born in the year 1977 and he is 45 years old as of the year 2023 and will be 46 in the year 2024.

Ben Chan was born into a Chinese family who emigrated from Hong Kong and Guangdong to the United States. His birth took place in New York and after some time his parents left the City for another city where they settled in the late 1960s. As a result of being raised in the US, Chan holds American nationality and has Chinese ethnicity making him a bonafide citizen of both countries. His parents were known to have met in the city of new york, they started a restaurant business together and since then they’ve settled in New York. Growing up as a child Chan also had his primary and tertiary education in the United States and currently works and lives there since birth.

He attended one of the best high schools in the United States, after his high school He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and he also acquired a Ph.D. from the University of California-Los Angeles. He also completed a post-doctorate in the bioethics department of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, he served as the Uihlein Fellow of Ethics at Lawrence University in Appleton.
Career
Before heating the stage of Jeopardy, Ben was a full-time university lecturer and a professor in philosophy. He is the Assistant professor of philosophy at St. Norbert College in De Pere, working at the college since 2013 till date. Jeopardy stunned the fans when it was announced that the regular three-day game champion, Ben Chan, would now have game delays. The three-day winning champion, Ben Chan, was attacked by an unknown illness. Consequently, he went on to rehab and bowed out in front of the fans detailing the reasons as illness.
